ABOUT iTEACHNOLOGY

iTeachnology, our online program, is based on our award winning community based learning programs. The goal is to create an eLearning version of our programs to support the sustainability of current learning programs, provide a personal and engaging learning space for our participants and so that other centres and agencies can access our programs. A volunteer team has been working on instructional design, technology and content of this online program. The content of this program is readily adaptable, replicable and scalable for other disadvantaged groups.

The deployment of iTeachnology has been a goal for iSisters since inception. This is a critical step in building our capacity to develop and deploy sustainable learning program and will facilitate our expansion beyond the Ottawa community.

Through iTeachnology, we will provide (otherwise inaccessible and unaffordable) customized and sustainable technology learning opportunities for women in poverty.
