Canadian Council on Learning Research Grant
iSisters has been awarded a research grant from the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL). The CCL is an independent, nonprofit corporation that promotes and supports research to improve all aspects of learning-across the country and across all walks of life. Ten organizations from across Canada were awarded a research grant this year, iSisters is proud to be included among the projects chosen. To learn more about CCL visit www.ccl-cca.ca/ccl.

New Corporate Partner - Scotiabank

It's official - Scotiabank is a new corporate partner. To much delight of both parties, iSisters and Scotiabank look forward to a long relationship working together to help women in need learn about technology to improve thier earning potential and gain economic independence.
Scotiabank staff will be volunteering onsite with learners, and our learners will be going onsite at Scotiabank to learn about the world of banking.

Passion and Resolve
iSisters was a proud partner of Passion and Resolve, a special event representing 17 partner agencies held to acknowledge the contributions of women. Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean addressed attendees at the event. Read the speech.

Scotiabank supported the event by purchasing tickets for 26 staff and donated additional tickets for low-income women to attend. Thank you Scotiabank for your support of this important event.

International Women's Day Celebration
iSisters participated in the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) "Women in Technology" annual event. A national program with local events in major cities across Canada aimed at increasing awareness among Canada's female youth about careers in technology.
