IMMIGRANT WOMEN SERVICES OTTAWA

iSisters launched a pilot program with IWSO in October 2006. In collaboration with staff at IWSO we developed and customized a new program geared to help new Canadian women who were survivors of violence. Since the pilot program was launched, IWSO has been one of our most popular and successful programs.  It has offered us a testing ground to build and improve our programs so we can offer the most current technology information to our students.

We currently offer three levels of programs from introduction to advanced courses.  Every 10 weeks, we graduate 25-30 women from all three levels of our technology workshops at IWSO.  Graduates go on to work placements and volunteer opportunities in the community.
