Director

Arlene is currently the Director of Sales at MediaMiser Ltd., an Ottawa-based media analysis company. After graduating from McMaster University with a B.A., she started working in contracts management in Ottawa for a technology company and it was there that her interest in technology and its applications started. It was at CNC Global Consulting that Arlene first got the opportunity to combine two of her passions: helping people and advocating technology. She worked with job seekers with a technology background, often from countries outside of Canada, to help them find contracts and permanent employment in technology positions. She also helped them market themselves through coaching and provided resume-writing and interviewing advice. In her current position she again is leveraging her interests in technology and communications.

Arlene is an avid user of various social media including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook and passionately believes that technology and communications can work harmoniously. For her, iSisters is a perfect fit because it showcases technology as an enabler and also reminds us of the courage of women who are trying to make positive changes in their lives.
